| 8. What is composting and what benefits does it bring?- info |
| Composting is the natural breakdown of organic material into rich soil known as compost. Small micro-organisms are found in the soil produced from degraded organic material and use it as a source of food. Composting of organic waste (woodchips, food waste, etc) helps to rid landfills of this type of material.
When added to the soil, compost promotes natural growth, improves water retention, changes its sand/clay and vegetable matter composition and improves its nutrient content. |
